A Third Card Kit!

Hello everyone!

I have been waiting for a while to post some cards for you, but have had to wait for some important info to include before I could share them with you!

So, today I am sharing with you the 9 cards I created using Pebbles "Sunshiny Days" 6 x 6 paper pad.

Card Kit # 3
Limited Quantities - $30.00 plus taxes...

OK, so know let's have a closer look at each of the cards.

I am thinking that everyone is beginning to look forward to the nicer weather that will soon be here. Have fun!

Spellbinders "Poppies" II Class - Different Cards

Welcome Friends!

Hope you are having a good week so far, and that you have some creative time scheduled for yourself.

Today I am sharing with you another Spellbinders Poppy Class. We have so many Poppy dies that showed up, so we are offering another class with two different cards!

WHEN: Saturday, April 21st
WHERE: Langford Legion (at the Crop)
TIME: 2:30 - 5:00
COST: $45.00 + GST (includes $28 die)
To register for this class, contact Stacey at  or  778-533-4290
For those of you that wanted to get the Spellbinders "Poppies" die and make cards with it, but did not get the chance in February, we are offering you another chance to have fun with this die. We will be making two entirely different cards this time using the more traditional red Poppy.
If you already have the die and wish to make these cards, you are welcome to sign up at a reduced price since you already have the die.
** We will be giving priority to those that do not have the die yet.
You will learn how to line up dies for a three layer cut that lines up perfectly, how to double layer dies cuts for added depth and strength, and how to use your alcohol markers on coloured card stock to add detail and dimension.
PLEASE BRING TO CLASS: your die cutting machine and plates, double sided adhesive tape, white & black foam tape and pop ups, non-stick craft mat, liquid glue, Nuvo Crustal Drops Ebony Black, Spectrum Noir markers DR5 (red) & CG2 (green). If you are bringing Copic markers, you will require a darker red without brown tones, and an olive-like green in the mid range. It might be a good idea to bring wash tape, just in case you need it. A class notebook and pencil to take notes if you wish.

Before I show a closer look, I must acknowledge that I cased the black card created by Elena Salo. She created many stunning projects with this die set.

Here are more photos of these two cards.

First I will begin with the white card. I love cards that use a script background stamp. The next best thing is to show the handwriting of the sender. Now I know some of you will say, "Oh no. My handwriting is not the greatest." And I say, "Have you seen some of the script writing on stamps? Some of them do not have great style either," So as long as you use a black ink pen (gel is the blackest) it will look wonderful! Trust me. That is why I designed this card with a cut through all the front layers. The black ink script you write in the card, will really make this card, and poppy, pop!

If you are observant, as most creative people are, you will have noticed some embossed tape lines on the front of the card. This had never happened to me before, and I can only say that it is one of two reasons. 1) I used Post-It tape which is paper and thicker than Washi tape, which is much thinner, or 2) because I thought the two layers of card stock where thin enough to to die cut together creating a thicker layer between the plates and imprinting the tape into it. I will not do that in class, ladies! L.O.L.

So on to the ceased card from Elena.

I did not mention with the last card, the additional colour and detail done by using an alcohol marker. But then you may have noticed since  you are a creative person.

Well, that is it for this class posting. For those of you that live here, I look forward to seeing you in class.

Happy creating, and have a great day!

Class Photos - G45 Fairie Dust I

Hope your week is off to a good start. Also hoping that you will have a little time set asisde to be creative this week.

Saturday was a great day at the crop, where I also taught the Graphic 45 Fairie Dust Diorama card class. I took a few photos that have since been posted on the Scrapbook Essentials BC Facebook page, but am posting them here on my blog as well.

Everyone enjoyed the class and look forward to creating their own diorama cards. Here are the photos from class.

We decided to put everyone's cards together at the end, so you can see how they all turned out and see their different creativity. Did they not do a wonderful job!

Well that is it. If you wanted to be there, we missed you.

Happy creating everyone!

Another G45 Fairie Dust Card Class!

Today we are having our G45 Fairies Dust Diorama card class, and the good news is that we are having another Fairies Dust Class in April! And these are the cards we will be making!

WHEN: Saturday, April 21st
WHERE: Langford Legion Crop
TIME: 9:30 - 12:30
COST: $35.00 + GST
To register for this class, contact Stacey at  or  778-533-4290

We have had the Fairie Dust Diorama card class, so now lets have a class creating more traditional types of cards. These pretty colours and fairy images make great cards for girls, Mothers' Day, and more. What can be more fairy-like than using gauze. And what is more fun than creating a "Z" card!
There will be homework which will be available after March 28th. Sabrina will be away the first 18 days of April, so that is why the homework will be available sooner than usual.
PLEASE BRING TO CLASS: your fussy cut homework, paper trimmer, scissors, double sided adhesive tape, mini-glue dots, white foam tape or 3D Squares, a score board and scoring tool, and a shimmer pen or Wink of Stella.

Let's have a closer look at the cards, shall we.

On this card all four stamps from the theme page 'Fairies Dust' are used along with one of the violet stems.

This card focuses on the little card on the same paper along with fussy cutting from the page border.

We are making a 'Z' card as well with a bunch of fussy cutting from the theme page (Fairies Dust) as well as mushrooms from 'Tiny Toadstools'.

On the blank space above, as well as on the back, a person may write to the receiver of this card.

The last and fourth card, has a few popped up layers.  I think it is amazing that with one leftover fussy cut mushrooms, popped up layers, and a sentiment banner with some gauze, you can make an eye-catching card.

These are the card for this class on April 21st. It will be just 2 1/2 days after I arrive back from visiting my son and his family down in Phoenix.

See you there! And happy creating!

Spellbinders Educator - 3D Grand Dome Card - In Striking Black

Good morning everyone!

Back today with another card class sample to share with you. This is for the Spellbinders Educator class we have every month.

Spellbinders Educator Class # 12 - IN STRIKING BLACK

DATE: Wednesday, March 28th
TIME: 6:00 - 8:30
COST: $55 + GST (Includes the $40 die)
To register for this class, contact Stacey at  or  778-533-4290

This die creates a domed diorama-like card, and has many options. In class we will create one card as the die was designed to do, and one that will use a portion of the die to set up an easier version of a card.
These striking cards in black will have you wanting to create more cards in black. As the first card may take more time than usual for our Spellbinder Educator classes, I am willing to stay later if anyone needs the time to complete your cards, you can.

PLEASE BRING TO CLASS: your die set if you were able to get it before class, cutting machine and plates, Spellbinders All-In-One Tool, non stick craft mat, scissors, black pop ups/dimensionals, liquid glue, Platinum Liquid Pearls, ink blending tools with different sponges for different colours, the following ink pads (or like colours) Crushed Olive, Worn Lipstick, Salty Ocean, Shaded Lilac or Oxide Wilted Lilac.

So let's have a closer look, shall we.

Here is the second card. We can use parts of the set to create easier cards, or cards needed in a hurry.

This is what the die set looks like.

You can see why this die set has more of cost than some of the others we have used inner Spellbinders Educator classes, but I can say it is well worth the cost because of the different ways you can use this set.

Hope to see you in class, or if you do not live here, I hope you are inspired by these class samples.

Happy creating!
